And then there's Polarity, which as far as I can tell has been dropped entirely. Prove me wrong.
Looks like the creator is (still?) seriously ill. Has been for many months now. Last I read on the Patreon page in May, the dev was having troubles sitting upright. Health crises is the reason for the long delay.
I'm not buying from Patreon. If chapter 5 isn't on Itch or Steam I'm just not going to buy it. I have a backlog of games I haven't played so it's not a big deal to give up on this one.
I played through all of Polarity and loved it, then decided to check out the Radiant demo and loved that too! If you're reading this, Sir Damned, I want to say I enjoy your work very much and I hope you make a full recovery soon. These games are great and I hope to play the final versions of them someday. <3

From what I've read, completion of this game is the very least of his concerns right now. As are your personal grievances.

Dude, relax. No where does he state he won't update on Itch. The chapter 5 release on Patreon is still pre alpha. It's an incomplete version of the chapter. It's not 100% completed yet. The dev even addresses that here if you care to look. You can see the completion status of Chapter 5 over on the Patreon page as well. Still a scene and a half needing to be done for Chapter 5 to be considered complete.
its not the dev downvoting you, it's other players who actually read. Patreon subs always come first in these games, then itch, nobody stole anything from you. you are getting exactly what you paid for; you don't get to complain that you didnt recieve an unfinished update before it was finished.

If you buy it here on itch.io the developer does NOT update it on itch.io. He takes your money and gives you the game yes. But if you want a more up to date version he makes you do a monthly sub on Patreon. So it's like 100% greedy ass Dev. So those people who have supported him on itch.io are getting fucked over cause he isn't updating on itch.io. If he would quit being a asshole and fucking people over. He should just shut down this page on itch.io regarding his game and focus on Patreon. But as the old saying goes he wants his cake and to eat it also. But he is to greedy he will keep it here thinking anyone who is stupid enough to see it on itch.io buy it and think they are getting updates when they aren't. So DON'T FEED the DEVELOPER here! Production has a lot of factors, so far every update had new locations, the writing is phenomenal, especially considering the path approaches for each character. That takes not only a lot of subtle writing, but also a lot of planning, and as paths diverge will take even longer than it currently does.
To paraphrase a german proverb: "Good things take their time."
Look at Projects such as Ripples, or what NiiChan and Caribdis are pushing out.

This genre is amazing! So blatantly saying that Patreon is what he cares about, and that means lower sales for him, and when the game is finished and all the Patreon customers leave, he will find he had sold a few 1,000 copies, unlike games like Leap of Faith that has sold over a million!

Can anyone clarify all the feedback we're getting with regards itch essentially pushing adult content games to the curb via payment management issues? Hope it won't be affecting future updates for this one. Any news on that front?
Beautiful game, and characters that are easy to fall in love with. Downsides are that the incest censorship is obnoxious, given there's no room for doubt in the story that you're their biological father, and that if you're a softie like me you're going to end up taking a very conservative route to avoid hurting those loveable characters as much as possible, a strategy that generally only pays off in the late game... which we haven't gotten to yet in Radiant. The incest censorship can't be helped circumstantially, I realize, it's just hard to not roll your eyes in this case.
Sir Dammed your works are probably one of the best works I've played in a lot of vns I've played. You have a knack for both pulling at the heartstrings and making me horny at the same time. The characters are really well done and their struggles are fairly realistic as well.
That being said, the waiting kills a lot of people's interest when it comes to the long updates. I genuinely want to see the characters endings and it would greatly sadden and disappoint us if they're left and neglected, fictional they may be.
So on behalf of those who've waited and are still waiting I sincerely urge you to please continue these, especially your older title Polarity. Thanks.
Radiant Chapter 5 is here in early-access, and will be posted here on Itch ASAP. Radiant will be developed normally and updates can be expected every 4-6 months. Polarity is another story, it won't start receiving regular updates again for quite a while, but it's not abandoned/will return as soon as humanly possible.

Gotta say this is one of the better written stories I've seen. The (thoughts) are well done and the part with Brookes' daughter "Burgerlar" had me cracking up. Definitely can't wait to see chapter 5.

Then the Mother of the man you killed turns up saying "19 years ago" Making it 19 years since the accident, and a few minutes before you made love to Gracie, so nine months later is 18 years. Meaning these girls are actually your daughters?!
I like it better than a number of VNs I played on Steam which cost twice as much. (I really like this game better than My New Memories etc.)
However, the story is still far from being complete. I sincerely hope the dev finishes it since if he does, it could easily join Depraved Awakening as one of my all time favorite VNs.
